Carnies was an installed storybook (see Pathos) which told the story of a small boy lost at the fair. It was first exhibited at the Roberts-Building stop of the Saint Paul Art Crawl and later shown again at the Loring Bar in Minneapolis as part of the Distinguished Monobrow arts exhibition. The paintings were done on windows, using both sides of the glass. They were mounted on crudely constructed wooden stands allowing the viewer to walk around the painting and see both sides.
